Mrs. Andrea Elwess is the Director of Choral Activities at Central High. She is in her tenth year of teaching, the last four of which have been at RC Central High School. In addition to her teaching duties she serves as the Secondary Vocal Coordinator for the Rapid City Area Schools, Director of Music at Trinity Lutheran Church, has organized and hosted Rapid City appearances of the South Dakota All-State Chorus and Region VIII Large Group Choral contest, and participates as a clinical faculty member for Project Select. She has also served as a clinician for both solo and large group contests in the Black Hills area.

Mrs. Elwess holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Composite Vocal Music Education  from Black Hills State University. Favorite stage experiences include various leading roles in musicals such as Gypsy, Tintypes, Into the Woods, Camelot, and Cowgirls. She is active as a soloist in Black Hills region, has performed in competitive chorus and quartet events in the Midwest, and has participated in the Johanna Meier Opera Theater Institute where she sang the role of “Dorabella” from Mozart’s Cosi fan tutti. Andrea is a member of the VoiceCare Network in Minnesota, American Choral Directors Association and is currently working on her Master of Music Education degree in Choral Pedagogy from the University of Kansas.

Mr. Albin Spreizer is the Associate Choral Director at Central High School and Director of Music at Calvary Lutheran Church. Mr. Spreizer teaches 9th Grade Women's Chorus, Men's Chorus, 8th Street Swing and assists with 10-12 Women's Chorus and Concert Choir.
