BEYOND the CLASSROOM

In addition to the many seasonal concerts our students perform, we also offer opportunities for students to travel around the state, region and nation to participate in exciting choral experiences. Many of these opportunitites require an audition and have specific deadlines. Please use the following links to stay informed regarding these events and their deadlines.

All-State Chorus: Available to members of Concert Choir - Auditions are conducted by Mrs. Elwess and Mr. Spreizer during classes the first week of October.

SD Junior Honor Choir: Available to 9th grade choir students

SD Senior Honor Choir: Available to 10th and 11th grade choir students

NC-ACDA Regional Honor Choir: (Offered every other year) Next scheduled date is: February 2012 (Auditions due Oct. 2011)

ACDA National Honor Choir (Offered every other year)

Young Vocal Artists Competition: This Competition is open to any high school student (home-school, private school, or public school), Grades 9-12 during the 2011-2012 School Year.

Rocky Mountain Choral Camp: June 24-29th in Estes Park, Colorado.

KSU Summer Choral Institute: Available to 10th and 11th grade students. Scholarships providing FREE admission are available to those who are accepted. (Deadline April 23rd, 2012)
