The Rapid City Central High School Chamber Orchestra has a distinguished record of achievements:

• Superior ratings South Dakota Region Eight contests (1996-2011)
• Guest Orchestra for the South Dakota Music Educators Conference (1997,1999,2007)
• Guest Orchestra 1998 Nebraska String Educators Conference
• Music Maestro Festival Gold Medalists — 2002
• Featured group at the American String Teachers Association National Conferences in 2003 (Columbus, Ohio) and 2008 (Albuquerque, New Mexico).
• Invited performers at the prestigious Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois (2004 and 2011)
• First Place High School String Orchestra and overall Grand Prize Winner at the ASTA 2011 National Orchestra Festival competition in Kansas City, Missouri.
