3rd Place Team Finish @ 2011 SD State "A" Tournament

The Rapid City Central High School Wrestling Program comes into the 2011-12 Season after finishing 3rd at last year's State A Tournament. They will return 5 of 9 State Place Winners along with 3 others that have valuable State Tournament experience. Captains for this up coming season will be Senior, Jake Weber along with 2 underclassmen, Junior, Aero Amo and Sophomore, Blake Stone. All three of these young men have wrestled in a State Finals Match before and want to get back again, for another opportunity to compete for that 1st State Title.

As a Team last year, the Cobblers rallied around each other and made strong runs at both the Region 4A and State "A" Team Titles. Although we came up just a few points short of both, the bar was once again raised for future Cobbler Teams. This year's squad wants to push the bar even higher and realizes that in order to achieve the ultimate Team Title Goal, we must first become the Best Team in West River. This will always be more than enough motivation.

The Rapid City Central Cobbler Wrestling Program wants to continue being a team that is in the discussion each and every year for a team title. We have the wrestlers, parents, managers and coaches to make this a reality, so it's all on us whether we succeed or fall short of this goal. We are excited to get back on the mat, and once again begin the long, memorable journey to the 2012 State A Wrestling Tournament in Aberdeen, SD.
