
Head Coach, Lance Pearson will begin his 11th Season (2012-13) leading the RC Central Cobbler Wrestling Program. Throughout this time he has accumulated a dual record of 128-47 along with helping the team finish in the top 8 of the State A Tournament 5 of the last 6 years with a high of 3rd last year. He has also helped produce 60 Individual State Placers with 10 of those being Finalists and Crowning 4 State Champions. Coach Pearson was also recognized, by his peers, as Region 4A Coach of the Year last season.
Before taking over as Head Coach, Pearson served as an assistant under Dan Mahoney for 5 seasons (1998-2002). Coach Mahoney actually served as Pearson's Head Coach during his high school wrestling days at Philip, HS.
Prior to moving to Rapid City, Coach Pearson served as Co-Head Coach with William Shumacher for Aberdeen Roncalli HS for 5 seasons (1993-1998).
While attending college at Northern State University, Coach Pearson competed for the Wolves from 1991 until being forced out of competition because of a neck injury in 1993. His wrestling career started as a member of the Philip Scottie High School Wrestling Program from 1986 until graduating in 1991.
Coach Pearson is married to his wife, Suzanne of 17 years. They have been blessed with 3 children, 12 year old daughter Olivia, 9 year old daughter Sydney and 5 year old son Luke. His parents are Les and Joann Pearson of Philip, SD.
